Yes. The process can start from an image, inspiration from an existing work, or simply an idea you have. Comprehensive digital design services are offered for all projects including: image rendering, color manipulation, text and logo creation, digital mockups, blueprints and elevations, material selection, and installation plans. - What materials can be used for projects?

Material selection is largely dependent on where your tile work will be installed. Exposure to water is a large factor in determining what a mosaic will be made of. With that said, the possibilities are certainly endless. Materials used in the past include: glass tile, stained glass, ceramic, porcelain, stone tile, natural stones and gems, metal, and much more! Additional effects such as glow in the dark tiles, transparency, and backlighting can accentuate and bring compelling depth to your piece. - Where can mosaics be installed?

A custom mosaic can be installed anywhere tile can be installed. This includes, but is not limited to: bathrooms, showers, floors, kitchens, backsplashes, fireplaces, fountains, pools, and gardens. Mosaics can also be mounted and framed as desired to be displayed as wall hangings. Other applications of tile include custom furniture and indoor or outdoor signage for your business. - Can mosaics be shipped?

If we cannot install the project ourself due to your location, Chris Long Custom Works will work with you and your onsite contractor to ensure proper installation. Mosaics can be shipped to any location. They are first created as one solid piece on a sheet of fiberglass mesh. Then they are cut up into 18" sections for shipment, much like a puzzle, for easy installation on site. You will safely receive the pieces of your mosaic double-boxed, with an easy to understand installation map. - How is the price of a project determined?

The price of a project is determined by a variety of factors. These include the size of the project, materials used, complexity of the design, type of application, installation requirements, and desired date of completion.
