Our inspiration was the NYC Times Square Subway Station for one of our bathrooms. Chris was great in taking that old design inspiration and creating the patterns that resemble that. ... as we are going into our fourth year in our 'new' house, we still enjoy the mosaics you made for us. This house has been a sort of pioneer project on many levels, the sustainability and attempt to reach Net Zero energy balance - as well as the modern and artistic design. Your mosaics are a big part of the design. I remember how nervous I was about sending you some images, picking a range of tile colors, and then letting you do your magic; watching the progress via online links you sent. I appreciated your frequent communication and the many photos. It is one thing to create two such master pieces, but then take it apart, package it and send it across the border, to be re-assembled, that asks for an organisational master mind. Our jaws dropped when we opened the packages and saw how meticulously you had labelled each piece accompanied by a photograph with schematics, so my installer was able to re-assemble the piece on the wall like a puzzle. It all worked out great!
The one shower with a 3-D mosaic version of my son's artwork is still as vibrant as ever, and the glow-in-the-dark tiles look in the dark like a Milky Way of a distant galaxy. People stop in their tracks when they go by the open bathroom door and HAVE to examine this amazing splash of color. You also created a Mural above the Tub in our Master Bathroom, and that is simply magical. Because the wall is filled with pipes for a passive solar gain to produce warm water, we could not put a window in that wall. Outside we are surrounded by trees and I wanted to bring this piece of nature to the inside. You did an amazing job creating a mosaic masterpiece, using my digitally altered photo of the exterior tree silhouettes against the fuzzy morning sun in May. Now we can still look at those trees and it feels like the wall doesn't even exist. Again, there is an alternate universe to be explored when darkness falls - you created a starry night sky complete with a crescent moon out of glow-in-the-dark tiles, and they are perfectly hidden within the sky until the light goes out. In the greys of twilight we can still see the tree silhouette with a faint sparkle of moon and stars. Amazingly enough those recycled tiles come in many colors, and your choice of palette was impeccable, words fall short in describing it, even photos cannot.
I can whole heartedly recommend you to anybody that wants to add a one-of-a-kind master piece to their home, and should I ever move, I definitely want at least one big mosaic made by you!

I asked Chris to do a back splash for my kitchen beverage center. I wanted it to be very personal to our family and depict our growth as a family over the years. We have a dairy farm that has grown in size for 40 years. He and I together created an idea that worked for both of us. He created a masterpiece that represents what I had in mind. He was right on in knowing what I wanted. His work is excellent and his mural in my kitchen is the focal point! I would have him do a project for me again. Not only was he professional and talented working with mosaic and stained glass, but fun to work with also!

Chris made a mosaic for my new home's master shower. All of our business was done via e-mail, as we live so far apart geographically. Chris sent me samples so I could approve his tile choices and kept me updated with pictures of his progress. My mosaic turned out stunningly beautiful and I enjoy looking at it every day!
